Revolutionary War Patriot, Sybil Ludington

Posted on by STDavis

You find bloggers all over the web especially those who are writing about children’s books.  Some are doing book reviews and others are making lists of books that are a pleasure to read and that cover a topic in the school curriculum.  Mine is such a book, appropriate for readers from third to eighth grade.  The protagonist, Sybil Ludington, was one of the many female heroines of the American Revolution.  Enoch Crosby was a spy for the Patriots. Thieves roamed the Hudson Valley stealing goods and horses to sell the British.  If you are studying the American Revolution you can get a personal glimpse into what Sybil’s life might have been like during this tumultuous time in history.
